Sandra Gittlen is a free-lance business and technology writer in the Boston area. As former events editor at Network World, she developed and hosted the award-winning magazine’s technology road show. She also was the managing editor of NetworkWorld.com, where she helped expand the Web site’s online content and community into a primary hub for IT knowledge.

She has won several industry awards for her reporting, including the American Society of Business Publication Editors’ prestigious Gold Award.

An industry educator, Sandra has presented at ComNet, COMDEX, Harvard’s Graduate Networking Seminar, NetWorld+Interop and Stanford’s “Publishing on the Web” conferences.

When she’s not writing about the ins and outs of the tech industry, Sandra is a frequent lifestyle feature contributor to the New York Times' regional Massachusetts glossy, "Worcester Living". She's covered everything from pampered pooches to historic inns to career do-overs.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in Political Science and International Relations. She also holds a graduate certificate from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in Women in Politics and Government.
